MORE zucchini bread! Eight more loaves last night - though we split them four a piece. And I still have bananas to make into bread and more zucchini. My freezer is going to be mighty full.
I really need to review the kids' school clothes situation - I don't know who has shoes and who might need socks! I thought I was set but this week has gotten away from me.
It'd be nice to see the sun again - blech! What a crummy day yesterday was! I can't wait to get to CA on Sunday and see some sunshine!

More weird dreams
I had another doozy of a dream last night. My neighbor, Laurie, was driving us in her new car to some big monument-seeing event/tour in Washington, DC. The crowds were incredible - masses of people trying to get to the monuments. She had to dodge people in the streets.
We were ushered into line by the very nice girl who works at Starbucks here at The Sevens. She got us all into line and made sure that we were all "hands on shoulders" to keep the lines straight.
As we're meandering through the line, there are buffet tables. Stacey M and I got pieces of baked chicken and asparagus from one line. When we tried to eat it, the chickens were ALIVE!!! We threw our plates out.
We got to the top of the monument (not sure which one) and were so excited because we could see Cinderella's Castle in WDW. ??

On that note. Nothing big on tap for today. Jared was such a good brother this morning helping Owen get dressed - they both wanted to wear shorts, undershirts, and sweatshirts. Jared was bummed that he didn't have cammo tennis shoes like Owen to wear. :(
It's smoothie day here at Thomson Healthcare - free smoothies from 8:30 to 9:30 - I chose mixed berries and it was YUM!

Maybe I was delirious?
(Three posts in one day?!)
I had the freakiest dream last night. I've been having trouble sleeping, so I was on the couch in the living room tossing and turning. I finally fell asleep and was dreaming that I was on my trip to CA.
I was going to visit Uncle Vinit and Aunt Tana (Brian's aunt & uncle). So Uncle Vinit picks me up - in a giant airplane (think military air craft - like in those fly-overs on 4th of July). But we didn't fly back to their house...we drove...in the airplane.
On a small 2-lane highway. And the whole way there, there were great big snakes sunning themselves in the road. And Uncle Vinit was steering back and forth to run over the snakes and lop off their heads.
I woke up all skeeved out about all the snakes.

I forgot my purse today! That meant:
-I can't drive anywhere at lunch
-I can't buy myself lunch
-I had to go to the receptionist for an "E" badge (a.k.a. Delinquent badge)
-I don't have any cough or cold medicine
Barb took pity on my and bought me coffee this morning. :)

Really dragging...
I'm just dragging today! I was sick all weekend - boo! I forced myself to run errands on Saturday because it was my last weekend before school. (I'll be in Coronado next week and Romeo for Labor Day weekend) The boys and I vacuumed out the TrailBlazer, washed the insides of the windows and wiped down the dash/doors/etc, ran through the car wash. Then we headed up to Sears Essentials, Target, Michael's, and Staples for school supplies.
Why so many trips for school supplies? Because none of these stores carried a cute pencil box! I remember having cute cardboard pencil boxes - Strawberry Shortcake, Care Bears, etc. All they have now are these lame plastic ones - and 75% of them are pink or purple! So we found some plain white cigar boxes at Michael's and picked out some stickers and made our own cute pencil boxes - Pirates for Jared and Baseball/Jeeps for Owen.
I need to get some coffee before I pass out.

Wide Open....
Our weekend is wide open! That hardly ever happens! I should savor it - I leave for Coronado next Sunday, then it's Labor Day/Peach Festival, and then school and soccer start! That'll mean soccer game every Saturday morning, NFL every Sunday, plus the regular business of the school year.
I can't WAIT!!! :)
I think tonight we'll spend some time with the boys riding their bikes - it kept threatening rain last night. Today it's breezy and cooler - perfect for hanging out in the front yard.

Slow Week
I saw this cartoon and couldn't resist - it just sums up my morning perfectly. I had a hard time getting going today.
It's been a slow week - busy at work, Jared was at Grammie Camp, Owen is a pistol....
I need to get Jared outside on his bike again - it's been almost a week since he rode. Maybe his friends will be around this afternoon - I love that he's old enough to just go across the street to ask someone to come out to play. And that the little boys down the street just come knocking on the door. :)
School starts in 3 weeks. We still don't have teacher assignments or supply lists for Country - that bugs me - especially since it was all on sale weeks ago. I stocked up on the basics, but I'm sure we'll get some random request for something I didn't think of!
Dinner Tonight: I'm thinking hot dogs, corn on the cob, and cantaloupe. :)
