Woot-woot! It's Friday!

Wahooooo! I love Friday. I can sleep in tomorrow! I can stay in my PJ's all day! Yippee!

Jared had a meet last night and swam his first breast stroke race! He was so cute! He also swam the back leg of the 100 yd medley relay and a 25 free. The meet was against Dexter, whose team is also HUGE. Put 300+ kids in a ceramic tile room with 30-foot ceilings - yeesh was it loud.

Owen happily helped me at the concession stand for the 2nd half of the meet - or, part of it. It was freezing cold, so he went back to sit with Daddy after having his fill of pizza and cucumbers.

Little bugger decided today that he wants a new family. He told me that he's going to "run away forever" when he turns five. He wants a new family with a mom and a dad and no brothers or sisters. :( I asked where he'd go to find such a family and he said "Disney World". I reminded him when I dropped him at school how much I'd miss him if he left. He didn't care - little snot.

Did I mention how excited I am for the weekend?!

A revelation!

I'm such a dork! Since September, I send Jared to swim on Tuesdays with his friend. His mom picks them up and takes them to the pool. So, every Tuesday, we attempt to stuff the beach towel, swim suit, and goggles into the back pack - along with the shoes, snow pants, and folder/papers. Every Tuesday, we whine, we flail, we tantrum (well, by "we" I mean Jared). Today I had a marvelous idea! Since I pick him up from the pool at 5:30, why don' *I* bring the towel with me? I get there before he gets out, and we no longer have to stuff a beach towel into his back pack.

I swear....

time to start training....

Only 6 months until the Breast Cancer 3-Day. I still can't quite believe that I let Jillian convince me to do this, but it should be a lot of fun. Training started yesterday when we busted out the Wii Fit. How fun is that thing?! Based on my birthdate, height, weight, and balance skills, my Wii Fit Age scored 27 years. Works for me! We all had a lot of fun playing the balance and fitness games. I can't wait to get the munchkins into bed and play some more! :)

the stomach flu

I hate the stomach flu. Just saying it gives me the creeps. I heard yesterday that over 110 kids were out of school with the stomach flu - at Jared's school. Great. He came home looking a little pale and, by 6:30, was throwing up. He was up and down all night but spent most of the night on the bathroom floor. So far, Owen just has a sore throat and Brian and I feel fine. They reported on Fox 2 this morning that over 130 kids and 7 teachers were out; and the school had called in a crew to disinfect the building.

I'm hibernating.

Is winter over yet?

I'm so sick of snow! And cold! Ugh. Winter seems so long this year - it's been cold since November!
