Today was Walk-to-School Day. Our school participates in a program called Safe Routes to School, so there are organized days to walk every few weeks when the weather is nice.
It was a GORGEOUS morning, and Owen begged to walk, so we headed out to the trail instead of the bus stop this morning. We are so lucky to have the paved Lakeland Trail park right in our neighborhood to use - it takes us on a nicely shaded walk right to the back playground of the school.
Upon arrival, Owen was treated to a banana snack - must refuel after that morning exercise. :)
