Yesterday was such a beautiful day for February - the kids were riding bikes and didn't need winter coats! It's supposed to get even warmer the next couple of days. Of course, then the freeze returns and we'll be luck to see 30 degrees. Friday, we had probably 15 inches of snow in our yard. Now, I can see bare grass. It's crazy. No wonder the kids are sniffling.
Yes, Owen treated me to a gigantic sneeze "Owen style" today - glumps of snot all over the basement carpet. When will he learn to get a kleenex? He went on his first play date yesterday - he's been over to friends' houses before, even without me, but this was a friend from school who called and invited him over for the day. I drove him over, dropped him off, and left! He was sooooooo excited the whole way there. And he had a fantastic time.
Jared's such the little social butterfly lately - friends over yesterday, friend over this morning, and another friend coming home on the bus. Sheesh! He's missing his swim meet tomorrow because I'll be traveling and Daddy won't be home in time. He didn't seem crushed.
We checked out the local Circuit City this weekend looking for fantastic deals. They're at 40% off, so it's pretty picked over. Jared scored a DS game. I carried around a Wii Batman Lego for a while, but we have IJ Lego and, really, how many lego games does one family need?
We're still all into the Wii Fit - Jared is scoring all the new games because he plays so much - he loves skiing and yoga. Oh, and the running games.
