Tomorrow is it...the first day of school. Jared will be starting first grade! All day - packing a lunch - two bus rides - ARGH! How did he get to be so big so fast?
He of course is excited...and nervous...and scared...and excited. We went to Open House this evening and he met his teacher and saw his classroom. He chose a desk right up front - and he'll be sitting at a "table" with friends from his K class - so he was happy about that. There are several kids that he knows either from K or from soccer in his class.
Owen goes to orientation tomorrow! He has NO clue what that means. I mean, the kid just has no idea what he's in for.
A perfect example - they had orange "bug juice" today at the Open House. Owen decides that he wants some...so he goes up to the table, grabs a glass, and goes to the container - completely ignoring the line of kids/parents waiting their turn! He's just oblivious!
We enjoyed some end-of-summer bike riding, hockey playing, and scootering with the neighbors tonight after Open House.

Tell Owen that there is plenty of time to stand in line as he gets older.
