glasses!

Jared got glasses!  We picked them up this morning, and so far he loves them!  He just needs them for school - to see the board - and for going to movies.  We have had several discussions about how we wear them in the classroom, take them off for recess and gym, and he doesn't need them at home. 

We were not surprised by this development, all of his grandmas and grandpas have glasses, his aunts and uncles all wear glasses, and his older cousins have glasses.  Mommie got glasses in 5th grade...only hope was that he got Daddy's eyes - Daddy is stil 20/20 uncorrected.  Maybe Owen got that vision gene.  :)  And we can still hope that we get off easily on the orthodontics, right?!

Owen joined the PAC swim team this winter.  So far, he seems to enjoy it well enough.  He's working on his freestyle for the most part - hopefully he can make it an entire length of the pool, soon.

Another Amazing Journey

The Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure...it's the most amazing experience...something that has become a part of me, of who I am, and of who I want to be. I love the 3-Day. I love the 3-Day!!!

It's about laughter...silliness... It's about friends...

Team Tyrannosaurus Racks had a great 2010 3-Day! We started our weekend Thursday evening with a trip to Northville to stay with Mom & Dad. Dad got up at the crack of ugly (thanks, Dad!) to shuttle me, Steph, and Kara to the opening ceremony at OCC. Five AM came awfully early, but the excitement kicked in and fatigue was forgotten. Team TR gathered together, looking awesome in our bling'd out "Racktacular" t's! Special thanks to Bling It On for putting up with our last minute t-shirt crises!

Being that we were in Michigan, we were in for a very STEAMY three days. We were not disappointed this year.
