He's NINE today!
Best Birthday Dinner ever!
My baby is nine years old! And in true Jared fashion, he wanted to spend his birthday at home...watching TV, playing with his new legos, enjoying his DS. He is a homebody - and he wanted to stay home! Didn't even want to go out for lunch - he asked for a salami and cheese sandwich and some cut-up cucumbers.
He had a great birthday celebration that began on 4th of July. He and Taylor decided to celebrate together this year, so they had a great family party complete with cake, presents, and fireworks! Last weekend, we had the rest of the family over to celebrate...this time with ice cream cake and pizza! Talk about a lucky kid! For his actual birthday, he had some friends sleep over Wednesday night. What a riot! The four boys all seemed to have a good time - more pizza, ice cream sundaes, and a couple of movies. They claim to have stayed up until midnight...but I heard the chatter stop about 11.
He'll be in 4th grade this year...oldest in the elementary! He enjoys his movies and DS, for sure. He loves his new bike and hopefully we'll get a few family bike rides in this summer...these kids are just so busy! Jared is a great swimmer, and we're still debating the swim team for 2010/2011, but I think he'll do it - he loves to be FAST!
