I love Christmas and decorating for the holidays, but it sure is nice to have things back to normal!

Everyone pitches a fit sometimes
I've once again fallen delinquent in posting...I could claim that I'm "too BUSY" or that I was sick...or that my dog threw up on my homework...but really, I just have better stuff to do! Not really better or more important, but keeping up with stuff like this blog and my scrapbooking has fallen to the low priority category.
I'm going on a scrapbooking weekend in Feb. I haven't unpacked my supplies since the same event last year. I'm going to take all of my Disney and Hilton Head pics and get those vacation pix into albums. The trip was last May - it's time.
Owen got in trouble at school today. Did you know that, in preschool, throwing a friends gloves into the frog pond result in complete ostracism? He says that everyone hates him, nobody would sit by him at circle, and he's staying home in bed tomorrow. Oh to be four. I'd love an excuse to stay home in bed tomorrow. Heck, I don't even need an excuse - just someone cover PDAC for me!
Jared is doing his homework, and I hear a lot of whining and foot stomping out there. I should go investigate...but I read the homework for this week. I expect that tonight's little hissy fit is directly related to the task "write a story in your own words using ten of this week's spelling words." Oh, the horror.

A very Merry Christmas
I just realized that this never posted! Oh, boo. Thanks for taking a family pic, Dad!!! And Owen finally made a decent face for this one. :)
We had a very Merry Christmas - lots of nice gifts for all and plenty of time with family. It's a little sad that it's all over. It seems like we just got the decorations all out and now it's time to think about packing it all back up. The kids are thrilled with all of their new toys - they're having a blast playing with everything. Happy New Year!

Monday...Monday...Monday?!
Another week begins...there's a ton of snow, it's freezing, and the pile of work on my desk is ginormous. Oh, and Christmas is in 2 weeks. Yikes!
I'm doing very well on my shopping. I've more than overspent on the kids (surprise?!) and have made a nice dent in the adult shopping on my list. I do need to get some ideas for Brian - what to buy for the guy who wants nothing?
The boys and I spent a nice day visiting friends and family yesterday. It had been months since we'd seen Kristin - this lunch was long overdue. We had a great time chatting and catching up. And Kristin introduced me to my new favorite restaurant. OK, PF Chang is still my #1, but this was just as good and about 1/3 the price. YUM! (The kids were not impressed)
We then headed over to visit with Grammie and Grandpa - I had photos of the boys to drop off. They were decorating their tree, so we hung out and chatted with them, and we got ourselves invited to dinner. Free food is always a bonus, but free chicken divan is extra-super-duper-ultra awesome!
We're back to the grind...but add in the holiday prep of planning menus, baking cookies, wrapping gifts, and finishing the shopping. I wish that I had a trip to Florida to look forward to.
